Dr. Beyer’s focus is on patient care that is truly caring. The entire staff at Beyer Research share his compassion for health care. It is the shared compassion and professionalism that have been cited by research participants as a reason they selected this research site over others more geographically suited to them.

Dr. Roger Beyer

Susan Wright, Attorney and Nurse Practitioner
Susan Wright joined Women’s Health Care Specialists in 1993. She has over 37 years of experience in the nursing field—23 as a nurse practitioner—is certified as a menopause clinician, and has worked the last seven years in the clinical research field. Her clinical experience has largely been women’s health based and has ranged from hospital to home care to clinic to private practice, and has earned several excellence awards. She also practiced as a certified nurse-midwife until 2005.
Susan’s other talents include working as a gynecology teaching associate and an adjunct faculty member for several graduate programs. Over the last 20 years, Susan has presented numerous educational talks for pharmaceutical companies, HMOs, universities, hospitals, non-profit groups, and the community on a variety of women’s health topics. Susan is also a licensed attorney in Michigan.
Susan lives in Paw Paw with her husband and five cats. She has three children, five stepchildren, and three grandchildren.
Lucy Wright Pelletier, Director of Clinical Research
Lucy Wright Pelletier joined Beyer Research as the Director of Clinical Research in November 2011. Lucy began her research experience as a study coordinator in 1997, her first trial being an extended wear contact lens study for Bausch & Lomb. After over 10 years in eye care and research as a Certified Para-Optometric Assistant and Certified Ophthalmic Assistant. Lucy’s passion for research led her to a full time (multi-therapeutic area) clinical research career in the capacity of both a coordinator and a clinical site manager for one of northern Indiana’s largest privately owned healthcare institutions, The South Bend Clinic, LLP, located less than 5 miles from Notre Dame’s campus.
Lucy is an ACRP Certified Clinical Research Coordinator and holds National Certifications as a Phlebotomy Technician and an Echocardiogram Technician. She has in-depth knowledge of various therapeutic healthcare areas, project leadership and clinical site management. She is dedicated to promoting and advancing the highest standards and practices of patient care and clinical research.

Ryan DeWeese, B.S., CCRC
Prior to joining Beyer Research in April 2008, Ryan spent three years working in pre-clinical and clinical research.
Ryan is a certified clinical research coordinator and holds a BS in psychology and a BS in philosophy, both from Western Michigan University. In addition to being the senior coordinator on staff, Ryan is largely responsible for all advertising for our clinical trials.

Gina Zagaroli, Nurse Practitioner
Nurse practitioner Gina Zagaroli has worked in women’s health for over 21 years and is a certified menopause clinician. She holds an MSN from Grand Valley State University.

Diane Williams, Nurse Practitioner
Diane Williams has been caring for women since 1991, and has amassed almost two decades of experience working as a high risk labor and delivery nurse and then as a nurse practitioner in women’s health.
Diane loves lighthouses and has even been called an amateur pharologist, and enjoys biking, kayaking, reading mystery books and cheering for her favorite team, the Detroit Red Wings.

DeLynn Shirley, Research Coordinator & Head Medical Assistant
DeLynn Shirley is a certified clinical research coordinator (CCRC) and has worked with Dr. Beyer for over 16 years, serving as his medical assistant and surgical research coordinator. She is married and enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren, gardening, and bargain hunting.

Tim Bennett, Office Manager
Tim Bennett has served as the office manager for Beyer Research and Women’s Health Care Specialists, PC for the past two years. Before joining Beyer Research, Tim enjoyed pursuing entrepreneurial interests and gained years of experience managing and owning a variety of businesses.
Tim holds a BA in business with a minor in management from Western Michigan University.
